Living in fear, feeling trapped, or walking on eggshells shouldn’t be your reality. If you’ve experienced abuse or violence in your relationship, you deserve support. Abuse can take many forms—emotional, psychological, physical, sexual, financial, neglect, and even religious abuse.
At Counselling Alberta, our approach is focused on growth and recovery, and is free from shame, blame, or judgement. Our research-backed approach helps clients receive the best results in the industry. Through counselling, we help people regain control of their lives, process trauma, and move forward with confidence.

Your safety is our top priority. What you share in counselling stays confidential, except in cases where there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
We understand that privacy can be a concern. That’s why we use Microsoft Teams for online sessions, which encrypts your conversations, meaning your sessions and discussions are protected from unauthorized access.
If you’re concerned about privacy, rest assured our counsellors can help you plan safe ways to access support—whether that’s in-person or online.
We know that when you’re in an unsafe situation, waiting isn’t an option. Our counselling services have no waitlist—once you complete the registration form, you’ll typically be matched with a counsellor within two business days.
When you’re going through tough situations, you shouldn’t have to worry about being able to afford help. That’s why we offer support without financial barriers. Counselling fees are based on self-submitted income and ability to pay. If you’ve been quoted a fee that’s unmanageable, let your counsellor know and it can be negotiated. No one is ever turned away.
After enduring an emotionally abusive relationship, Juandre reached a breaking point and knew he had to make a change. He turned to counselling not only to heal from the past, but to build the tools for healthier relationships and manage the anxiety that had been holding him back.
